The 1985 feature film, Pee Wee’s Big Adventure took the world by storm. Pee Wee was a popular fixture during my childhood. With such memorable lines like this, who could forget about Pee Wee?
Apparently, after his arrest stemming from indecent exposure charges in an adult theater, the world was quick to forget this unusual man-child… that is, until recently.
So, I just saw Paul Reubens (in his Pee Wee character) on Conan promoting his new stage show at Club Nokia. Apparently the show is very popular and is on a limited four-week run. I’m curious of how it will turn out for Reubens… I mean Pee Wee. He is even in the works to pen a “dark” Pee Wee Herman story – a movie aimed at an adult audience with a possible R-rating?
Not sure if I would watch it, but it would be interesting to see how things pan out for him.
