Life According to Rodman: Things To Do After Getting Out of Drug Rehab
Apparently, if you’re Dennis Rodman, the best way to follow up a stint in rehab is to get so publicly intoxicated that the restaurant you’re dining at has no choice but to boot you for drunk and disorderly conduct. Brilliant PR move, or just another chapter in the trainwreck/saga that is Rodman’s post-NBA life? It’s hard to say, but we’re leaning towards a combo of the two.
Here’s the scoop. On the eve of Thursday, January 7th, the very night Rodman’s season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew debuted on Vh1, dearest Dennis was escorted out of an upscale Orange County eatery after customers complained about his erratic behavior. It seems as though the classy clientele at Waterfalls Restaurant doesn’t generally appreciate vodka-saturated, D-list celebs spewing profanity at them over prawns & couscous.
Something tells us that Dr. Drew wouldn’t have recommended getting publicly tossed on his list of things to do after getting out of drug rehab.
Get Thee To A Long-Term, Inpatient Alcohol Rehab, Rodman!
If Dennis Rodman ever stands a chance at securing long-term sobriety, the experts here at the Pitbull Press would like to officially suggest that our friend “The Worm” (remember that NBA moniker? LOLz!) check himself into a long-term, inpatient alcohol rehab program. Frankly, we’re not even sure if it would do him any good, but it’s certainly worth a shot. Perhaps the mega-tattooed, uber-pierced Rodman would seem like less of a publicity joke if he were to sober up…perhaps.
In order for Rodman to take to sobriety, however, we strongly feel that he is going to have to be the one to put himself in rehab. Unfortunately, Rodman’s participation in season three of Celebrity Rehab was ordered by his publicist and, more importantly, by the courts. That is to say, he didn’t have a choice. It was rehab or jail and, lucky for reality junkies everywhere, he chose rehab!
Rodman Must Have Passed On the ‘Sober Living’ Option…
As anyone who watches Celebrity Rehab knows, following his patients’ inpatient completion (after a whopping 21 days), Dr. Drew offers each celeb the option of continuing treatment on an outpatient basis while living in a sober living home. This means that, directly after their discharge from Pasadena Recovery Center, the site of Celebrity Rehab filming, patients who choose to head to sober living are ushered to an equally posh dormitory-style house in the Hollywood Hills for continued monitored living.
To make a long story short, it doesn’t look like Rodman is doing any kind of sober living, and is therefore doubtfully taking up residence in a sober house, per Pinsky’s suggestion. We’re guessing that he’s still maintaining his episode one pitch, in which he stated that he is not an alcoholic and would only consider treatment to appease the court.
Oh, well =(

I totally remember the Worm… but I hope he gets the help he needs. Keep up the posts
dennis its takes a honest look at yourself to help the process of getting clean. once you and only you see it is no longer fun and it is really screwing you up you will have a chance. it only gets worse. I never ever seen anyone step over that imaginary line into addiction, continue getting high and do well. It just does not happen
Why does Dennis Rodman think he isn’t addicted. He is clearly the defination of an addict. Excuses are bull, you should get over yourself and take the help these people are offering you. And what about that point you made, “My intellectual level is way above this group,” Dr. Drew included.. Please, everyone but Dr.Drew has been addicts, and if you have ever been one you can pick one out in a second. Please GET OVER YOURSELF DENNIS. YOUR NOT THAT COOL!! Good luck to everyone else, and I do hope Dennis gains some humility and gets helpp
