Silence About Their Addiction
It’s no secret that Kelly and Jack Osbourne have struggled with teenage drug abuse. Soon after their hit reality TV-show, the pair and their family have publicly spoken about their addiction to drugs and alcohol. Kelly recently lambasted the media saying that she received more criticism for being “fat” then she ever got for her drug addiction. Kelly admits that she started using at around 12 years old, while her brother Jack recalls the first time he got drunk at age 13.
Getting Better in Alcohol Treatment
If your dad is Ozzy Osbourne, you’d think that he would pay more attention to his kids. This is the man who urinated on a war memorial and tried to strangle is wife while under the influence. Even still, Ozzy admits being in denial about his children’s behavior. During his teen years, Jack struggled with depression, addiction and fame. After a failed suicide attempt, Jack finally committed to a drug and alcohol treatment program in 2003. Kelly underwent a rehab program for her own prescription pill addiction in 2004. She relapsed in 2009 and entered another facility soon after wards.
Success with Living Sober
Nowadays, the Osbourne children have found success with living sober and life after their MTV show. Kelly recently won third place in the 9th season of Dancing with the Stars. Kelly is also recently engaged to male model, Luke Worrall. Like his sister, Jack also lost a lot of weight (50 pounds) and became more active. He had his own MTV show Adrenaline Junkie that showcased his extreme adventures all over the world.
