His First Taste of Addiction Treatment
Once upon a time, Andy Dick was a well-known and questionably funny comedian. After a slew of drug and sexual harassment charges, he’s just known as a wash-up. His first problems began in 1999 where he crashed into a pole in Hollywood. He was then charged with possession of coke, weed and smoking devices. Andy got off easy as he enrolled in 18 month of addiction treatment services and the charges were later dropped against him.
Alcoholism Treatment and Relapse
In 2006, Andy acted erratically at William Shatner’s Comedy Central roast and went straight back to rehab and alcoholism treatment after the disturbing appearance. From then on, it wasn’t unusual for Andy to be charged with public intoxication, sexual battery and drug possession. In September of 2009, Andy made an appearance on Adam Corolla’s podcast where he announced that he was 1 year sober. It looks like that sobriety date is long gone now.

A Star Succeeds with Addiction Therapy
Ok, so I caught a late night showing of Inception last night and it was awesome! Alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and the lovely Joseph Gordon-Levitt, I noticed a newcomer, Tom Hardy. The British born actor played Eames aka the Forger. It was interesting as I looked up his background and other film credits. As a teen, Tom got into a lot of trouble and eventually began to dabble in drugs and other destructive behaviors. Addiction therapy was sure to be in his future as the aspiring actor could not handle a busy career while abusing drugs.

After receiving praise and award nominations for his acting, Tom couldn’t cope with his personal life and experienced a breakdown due to us drug and alcohol use. With Black Hawk Down and Band of Brothers to his credit, it’s sure to say that this talent would be wasted if Tom could not overcome his addiction. Eventually with the help of his family, Tom was committed to drug and alcoholism treatment. This gave him a new outlook on life and acting.
Living Sober and Working Hard
Since his stint in rehab, Tom has gotten a steady amount of work and exposure, especially with the release of Inception. Tom is even set to play the role of Max in the new Mad Max movie that is set to be released in 2012. Tom has been living sober since 2003 and has overcome his crack and alcohol addiction. Congrats!
Holistic Drug Rehab for a Love Addiction?
Earlier this year, there were rumors that Rachel Uchitel (aka Tiger Woods’ first exposed mistress), was set to appear on Celebrity Rehab. For what addiction exactly? Apparently, this attention whore was seeking to resolve “intimacy issues relating to love and sex.” What exactly does she expect? Holistic drug rehab is not exactly a vacation when she’s set to be surrounded by other celebrity addicts. Sure enough, word slipped out that Rachel is set to battle alcohol and pill addiction.
Addiction Treatment for Pills Addiction treatment isn’t surprising for Ms. Rachel as text messages slipped revealing Ambien use during their sexual escapades. The former club promoter has also been mixed up on another love affair that involved (an also married), David Boreanaz. Their affair continued for quite some time as Rachel allegedly grew tired of David’s lies about him leaving his wife. Didn’t the same thing happen with Tiger? Maybe her ‘addiction to love’ thing is actually real?

Oh yes, addiction treatment services, celebrity addicts and wash-ups. The newest season of this show starts in October and we can’t wait to see what’s in store! I’m surprised at the “celebrities” that the show will actually pick up. How humiliating will it be for Tiger and David when their former mistress airs her dirty laundry on national tv?

Actor Eric Roberts is the latest star set to sign up for addiction therapy in Celebrity Rehab. If his name sound familiar, it’s because he’s also well-known for being Julia Roberts’ older brother. Although he’s a known actor on his own right with some breakout roles on the TV show, Heroes and films such as The Dark Knight and Runaway Train. The word is that he is roomies with Jeremy London.
Past Troubles Surface in a Drug Treatment Program
On the surface, it may seem unusual that a celebrity like Eric is in need of a drug treatment program. That is, until we dig a little bit deeper into his past. Eric was arrested for possession of cocaine and marijuana in 1987. Throughout the 90’s, he continued to have problems with cocaine which brought about numerous accusations of domestic violence. Not a good thing. Eric eventually became estranged from his sister, Julia, after she sided with his ex-girlfriend for custody of their daughter, rising star Emma Roberts.

No word yet on what habit Eric is trying to kick at the infamous Pasadena addiction treatment center, where the show is filmed. It’s a good thing Eric has made up with his sister and that he’s trying to get back on track. Alongside his famous roommate, Eric will also face Janice Dickinson and Leif Garrett on the next season of Celebrity Rehab.
A Couple Checks into Celebrity Rehab
It was only a few days ago that Jeremy London checked into the Celebrity Rehabaddiction treatment center. His wife, Melissa Cunningham checked into rehab a few days before he did. On Sunday, Melissa was hospitalized after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Reports say that she was struggling with withdrawal symptoms.
A Bad Start to a Detox Program
Since then, Melissa has still been under hospital care but her condition has not been released to the public. Jeremy remains in the celebrity detox program. This should make for an interesting show right? We hope that Melissa has a speedy recovery so that she can finish up her stint in rehab. Remember, the couple has struggled in the past and have even made steps towards a divorce and custody of their young son. Tila Tequila may have skipped out on this season of alcoholism treatment, but there’s sure to be a lot of drama on Vh1.

Didn’t you think it would be a miracle the day that you heard the Lindsay Lohan voluntarily enters a drug treatment program? Well, the day has finally come. After he previous lawyer quit, Lindsay has teamed up with renowned OJ Simpson lawyer, Robert Shapiro. Sensing any ulterior motives here?
Third Try with Addiction Treatment Services
Apparently, Shapiro started a addiction treatment services rehab facility, Pickford Lofts. It’s a touching story, as Shapiro’s own son died of a drug overdose in 2005. Hopefully, Lindsay takes her role in rehab seriously and isn’t just using it as a way to escape some jail time. Other sources claim that Lindsay was hysterical about her sentence and claimed that she would rather “die” than serve time.
If anyone needs to take addiction therapy seriously, it would certainly be Lindsay. We’ll see how this plays out as Lindsay was scheduled to start serving time this coming Tuesday.
Addiction Treatment Breakthroughs
So, what happened in the exciting world of addiction treatment this weekend? As you may have heard, Lindsay Lohan will be sentenced to jail and she’ll also be forced to undergo 90 days of drug rehab after her 90 day jail sentence. Maybe this is the only way that she’ll get some real sense knocked into her. This isn’t a special type of program for the star. The Impact Program is a specialized plan that has been in place for inmates who have problems with addiction.
Tila Tequila Drops Out of by a Prestigious Drug Treatment Program
Just kidding. But Ms. Tequila has bailed on her plans to appear on the next season of Celebrity Rehab. No reason has been given yet but maybe this was all a part of her plan from the beginning? Either way, this woman definitely needs some type of drug addiction treatment. From pregnancy drama, self-harm, to split personalities, this reality TV star is dying for attention when she really needs some serious help.

Congratulations to Heather Locklear! She has finally completed a 30-day stint in a drug treatment program. After her bizarre antics in the past, it’s not a surprise that it would finally come to this. We’re just glad that she got help before she hurt herself or someone else! Doing Fine and Living Sober
Heather’s spokesperson reveals that she is doing fine and living sober. Let’s hope that she’s able to get things back on track and think before she gets behind the wheel again. If you remember correctly, Heather was arrested a few months ago for running over a stop sign and fleeing the scene. Police were able to track her down and arrested her. No charges were pressed against Heather as authorities ruled that there was a lack of solid evidence.
What Happened to his Driving Ban?
We always complain about how relaxed drunk driving laws are here in the United States but what about the UK? Singer, George Michael has been arrested for his seventh incident involving driving under the influence after plowing into a store at 3 in the morning? I don’t understand how is he not locked up by now? British police nabbed him and charged him with being “unfit” to drive. The funny thing is that they didn’t even give him a breathalyzer test at the scene of the crime as he insisted that he hadn’t been drinking. No wonder George Michael can’t take addiction therapy serious as the authorities certainly don’t take his driving record so!

Sources close to Jennifer reveal that the tennis star is recovering well and in good spirits. Jennnifer’s past however, has not been so immaculate.
