Lady Gaga is a fluke. Lady Gaga is crazy. Lady Gaga is a man. We’ve heard all the rumors when it comes to this eccentric star. But when it comes to rumors about her drug-addled past, Lady Gaga has come clean on numerous occasions. She stated that The Cure records were her choice when she did cocaine. Does “bags” and “cocaine” ever seem like a good idea? Ultimately, Lady Gaga reveals that the sober support and love from her father is what helped her kick drugs for good.
Every Addict Needs a Sober Companion
Although Lady Gaga was once a cokehead, she now just dresses like one. Gaga recalls an acid trip that left her so delusional, that she actually thought that she met Thom Yorke of Radiohead. Lady Gaga also credits another unusual sober companion for sobriety – her dead aunt. In talking about her aunt in a recent article, Gaga states, “I never met her – but she’s been one of the most important figures in my life”.
Moral of the Story
Whether you know someone who needs drug or alcoholism help, it’s never too late. Lady Gaga may not have reached her level of success if she was still a cokehead today. Although the definition of “talent” is subjective, Lady Gaga is known for: singing live, dancing and all while half-naked on stage. (Sometimes, she’s even covered in blood.) How many of us can say that same? Gaga admits to doing coke and dropping acid to emulate her idols: Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger, etc. In addition to leaving her increasingly paranoid and panicked, Lady Gaga didn’t want to disappoint her family – namely, her father. Moral of the story: Listen to Lady Gaga, drugs are bad!
Leif’s Drug Troubles
In the 70’s, Leif Garrett was a teen idol who was known for acting and singing. In his adult years, trouble times plagued Garrett as he coped with fame. He later became notorious for his troubles with drugs and alcohol. In an incident in 1979, Garrett was driving under the influence as he rear ended another car. This accident left his close friend Roland Winkler, confined to a wheelchair for life. Their reunion was documented in a 1999 episode of Vh1’s Behind the Music. Could an executive intervention save Garrett’s life and career? A Cry for Help?
Is Garrett really unlucky or is there something more? In some way, maybe Garrett was setting himself up for a drug intervention. Mirroring his 2006 crime, Garrett was arrested again for possession of heroin. Both times, he was caught at the subway station near downtown Los Angeles. Garrett has actually been admitted to a rehab program before. Of course, he left early claiming that the program was “too strict”.
An Alternative When Rehab’s Not Enough
Garrett’s brushes with the law are nothing to brag about. He’s had to live with the guilt of paralyzing his best friend for three decades now. Even with his troubled past, Garrett can’t bring himself to come clean. Since rehab isn’t working out for him, what about hiring a sober companion? There’s always hope out there, even for those who have failed in the past. Maybe Garrett should ask Owen Wilson about his experience…

Robbie Pardlo was dumped by then-girlfriend Claudette Ortiz, who left him for his friend and other band mate, Ryan Toby. The group soon disbanded in 2003 as Claudette and Ryan married in 2004.
Robbie turned to alcohol and became depressed. His addiction deeply affected his family, including his young daughter. At the end of last month, Robbie’s documented struggle was aired by A&E’s Intervention. Watch his full episode on their site.

Should Nolte Star in Celebrity Rehab 4?
Hey everyone, it’s time for celebrity rehab with your favorite wacky actor! When it comes to mug shots, it doesn’t get much worse than Nick Nolte. Sadly, when it’s his acting career that should be in the spotlight, Nolte’s personal life is more interesting nowadays. In 2002, Nolte was caught driving under the influence. Evidence of his crazy night can be seen in his mug shot pictured right.
Riding High on Roofies
Forget alcohol rehab, what about GHB rehab? When Nolte was arrested in 2002, he tested positive for GHB – better known as the “date rape drug”. And can you guess Nolte’s response to these allegations? He explains that he “has been taking it for four years and [he’s] never been raped”. Apparently, in addition to being slipped into people’s drinks, GHB is sometimes used in body-building to promote hormone growth. It’s also derived from a substance that is an active ingredient in floor cleaning products! Who would’ve thought?
Nolte Spotted Looking Through Trash
If there’s any indication that drug rehabilitation is needed, Nolte is the perfect example. On February 1, 2010, Nolte was spotted in Malibu, CA rifling through some dumpsters. The paparazzo followed Nolte as he rambled about his missing bag. He hinted that the bag might’ve contained Xanax and some beers. After some time spent stumbling in the streets, Nolte gave up.

Addiction Treatment: Three Strikes and You’re Out?
78-year old Emmy-winning actor, Rip Torn, was arrested this weekend for breaking into his local bank in Connecticut. Luckily, no one was harmed. The highly-intoxicated senior was found with a loaded gun as he failed a field sobriety tests. He was reportedly uncooperative and cursed at police officers. This isn’t the first time that the actor has had a brush with the law. Torn has had DUI incidents in the past where he escaped jail time by enrolling in an alcohol education program. There were two separate incidents in 2004 and 2007 – maybe he needed addiction treatment instead of a slap on the wrist.
Elderly and Executive Drug Rehab
While Torn faced his past incidents in court, the actor had difficulty hearing the judge. Like with most elderly folks, Torn has special needs that not all drug rehabs can cater too. Even if he were to get treatment, executive drug rehab would be his best bet. This isn’t to say that he deserves special treatment, but executive programs will be able to attend to the needs of senior citizens. The public may not be as aware of addiction among seniors, but the threat is still real.
Time to Get Real with Alcohol Rehab
So, what do you think? It’s Torn’s third time being arrested on an alcohol related incident. Should he be forced into an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program, regardless of his age? This should be a wake-up call for the authorities and Torn’s family. I mean, come on, he had a loaded revolver! I think it’s sad that the public doesn’t take these cases more seriously until someone is hurt. Hopefully, this isn’t the last we hear of Torn… where will he be for Dodgeball II?
Their Own Way of Sober Support
For a band with such a long history, it’s no surprise that the Rolling Stones are no stranger to sex, drugs, and rock & roll. The band has been notorious for its drug use, namely Keith Richards (pictured right) and Ron Wood (pictured left). Have you heard about the guy who tried to beat his heroin habit via blood transfusion? Yup, that was Richards. Who needs sober support when you can do it the “easy “way? This myth has been shot down and addiction can’t be beat that easily. Wood was so bad at peak that Richards even tried to step in to stop the drug use. As the guitarist recalls, Richards once pulled a gun on him to confront him about his drug use!
Does Ronnie Wood Needs a Drug Intervention?
Now that they are in their late 60’s, one would think that the aging Stones have settled in their rock & roll ways. This isn’t the case. A drug intervention has never really been considered seriously by the band and you can see how this has affected their lives. Richards has been recently concerned about Wood as his drinking has affected his personal life. Wood left his wife of over 26 years, for a much younger model. Just last month, Wood was arrested on charges of assaulting his new lady friend. Sources cite Wood’s erratic behavior to his drinking. Yeah, things seem to be working out real well for him…
Relapse Prevention with Keith Richards News just broke that Keith Richards has given up drinking… for now. In 2006, Richards fell out of a tree while partying and received a serious head injury. Since then, he has fully recovered and is rethinking his drinking ways. I guess it just goes to show you that it’s never too late to stop drinking. In the meantime, Richards should be focused on getting Wood back into an effective relapse prevention program, which he truly needs.
In December, Chloe Lattenzi was spotted drunkenly stumbling in the streets after being kicked out of a strip club. Fast forward one month later, things haven’t really changed.
This time, she was spotted wearing this atrocious outfit.

It’s another day and Andy Dick is making another person’s life miserable. This time, the actor and “comedian” was arrested for two counts of sexual abuse. One count for allegedly grabbing a bouncer’s crotch and the second count is for forcing himself on and kissing another man. Not cool, Andy.
His bail of $60,000 was posted and the pervert was once again free. I don’t remember the last time he was doing something relevant. His wrap sheet now overshadows his work in comedy. Dick has had a troubled past and they’re all linked to his drug and alcohol use. In 2008, he was arrested for groping a 17-year old girl. He’s been indirectly linked, by some, to the death of Phil Hartman and David Strickland.
Andy was even on Celebrity Rehab where he proclaimed to be sober, but I guess things aren’t that easy for some people. With numerous wake up calls later, Andy Dick still hasn’t been able to pull his act together.
Giving Drug Rehab Another Try Jeff Conaway is no stranger to the world of addiction. The former star has had multiple tries at drug rehabilitation, only to relapse back into his prescription drug addiction. If you’ve caught a glimpse of him on Celebrity Rehab, you’ll know just how hard this struggle has been for him. Recently, Conaway suffered a nasty fall. Viewers and readers are extremely skeptical of his long-time girlfriend, Vikki Lizzi. Some even suggest that she was the one that pushed him.
What Went Wrong with Conaway’s Addiction Treatment?
Viewers can’t help but feel sympathy for Conaway during addiction treatment, but still be left wondering what went wrong? At one point, Conaway’s health seemed to improve drastically and he could even walk on his own without a wheelchair. Now, reports have come out alleging that the aging ex-star is getting ready to die. Treatment means nothing if you don’t implement a recovery plan and follow it. As many know, prescription drugs are horribly addictive. Conaway’s case just comes to show that it’s a battle doesn’t end easily, even with the right resources.
